Xiaomi India has teamed up with Reliance Jio to bring Jio 5G connectivity to eligible Xiaomi and Redmi smartphone users through a new update. To access the True 5G Standalone (SA) network, users will need to change their preferred network type to 5G in their Xiaomi or Redmi smartphone settings.
This network boasts stand-alone 5G architecture and Reliance Jio has the largest mix of 5G spectrum across the 700 MHz, 3500 MHz, and 26 GHz bands. Models supporting the SA network have received software updates to work with Reliance Jio’s True 5G SA network.

All upcoming Xiaomi 5G devices will come with SA connectivity as a standard feature.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that its smartphones, including the Redmi K50i and Redmi Note 11T 5G, have undergone extensive testing with Reliance Jio’s True 5G network. It is expected that most 5G-enabled devices from Xiaomi and Redmi will be compatible with Reliance Jio’s True 5G network
